Why am I so obsessed with dragonflies?

I think it stems from boundary waters trips I was on as a kid.  There were always mosquitoes so when a dragonfly decided to come around we were always happy to see them because they would theoretically eat the mosquitoes or at least scare them away for a while. 

What dragonflies can mean to us

Dragonflies always looks like they are on a mission and are incredibly complex and beautiful.  They might also land on the bow of the canoe like a figurehead or guardian angel.  That's why I included them in the MSP Airport display because one of the survivors said she had her own personal angels that guided her through life.  

Let's make some dragonflies!

I love to help people make dragonflies.  I have all of the materials (parts of tires and other items otherwise bound for the landfill) so let's set up a time to build some as a group!
